Coevolution of Broad Emission Lines and X-Ray Spectrum in Changing-look AGNs

چکیده

Abstract Changing-look active galactic nuclei (CLAGNs) show the disappearance and reappearance of broad emission lines in a few years, which challenges orientation-based AGN unification model. We reduce X-ray data for five well-studied CLAGNs that strong change past several decades. find photon index, ?, Eddington-scaled luminosity, L 2–10 keV / Edd , normally follow negative positive correlations when Eddington ratio is lower higher than critical value ?10 ?3 . observed with H ? stay part ?– correlation, while become weak or disappear anticorrelation suggests evolution should be correlated underlying accretion process. further are consistent other different types AGNs bol – correlation. These results support belong to special stage bolometric ?1%, where easily affected by variation ionization luminosity caused transition modes.

Contribution of the Disk Emission to the Broad Emission Lines in AGNs: Two-component model

We present an investigation of the structure of the emission line region in a sample of 12 single-peaked Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs). Using the high resolution Hβ and Hα line profiles observed with the Isaac Newton Telescope (La Palma) we study the substructure in the lines (such as shoulders or bumps) which can indicate a disk or disk-like emission in Broad Line Regions (BLRs). Applying Gaus...

Broad Band X-ray Spectrum of Cygnus X-1

We present the hard X-ray (20 − 100 keV) observations of Cygnus X-1 obtained using a large area balloon-borne Xenon filled Multi-anode Proportional Counter (XMPC) telescope. The observations were carried out during the γ 2 state of the source and we obtain a power law photon index of 1.62±0.07. To constrain the spectral shape of the source, we have analyzed the archival EXOSAT ME argon and GSPC...

Broad Iron Lines in AGN and X-ray Binaries

Several AGN and black hole X-ray binaries show a clear very broad iron line which is strong evidence that the black holes are rapidly spinning. Detailed analysis of these objects shows that the emission line is not significantly affected by absorption and that the source variability is principally due to variation in amplitude of a power-law. Underlying this is a much less variable, relativisti...

Broad P Cygni X - ray Lines from Circinus X -

Chandra High Energy Transmission Grating Spectrometer (HETGS) observations of the extremely luminous and violent X-ray binary Cir X-1 reveal many X-ray emission lines showing broad P Cygni profiles. These are from H-like and He-like ions of Ne, Mg, Si, S, Ar, and Fe. The lines originate in a high-velocity (up to 2000 km s) outflow, which may be an accretion disk wind. Cir X-1 has a radio jet, a...

Molecular Emission Lines from High Redshift AGNs

A brief overview is given of the current status of molecular emission line observations at high redshift. New observations are presented of CO in the gravitationally lensed quasar MG 0414+0534 (detected) and the unlensed quasar PG 1634+706 (not detected). Also noted are the results of a partially completed search for water maser emission in several redshift bands above z = 0.4.
